Location wedding
Andrew and Sian’s wedding, Rhoscolyn, Anglesey

I really enjoyed shooting Andrew and Sian’s wedding this weekend in beautiful Rhoscolyn, Holyhead, North Wales. A really friendly couple which was reflected in their friends and family too.
The rustic church didn’t have the capacity for all their guests so some had to wait in the local pub instead.
Standing on the beach for the photograph above, Andrew said “Rob, we’d like one of those gold award winning images” so no pressure then
Andrew and Sian had a great live band playing which I enjoyed staying for, you can’t beat great music while you work!
They are currently on Honeymoon in South Africa but said they would be checking my blog when they found an internet connection. Have a great time guys and I’ll see you when you get back.
Here are a few of my favorites from their day…

Michael and Kimberley’s Burley in Wharfedale wedding and Oakwood Hall reception, Bingley

With Michael being a professional ballet dancer and Kimberley being a ballet teacher, good posture and graceful movement were always going to be the order of the day at their wedding in Burley in Wharfedale.
Kimberley spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in Headingley before making the trip to church.
It was a glorious sunny day for them allowing their guests to enjoy Oakwell Hall’s beautiful gardens and the scenic surrounding area.
Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

As good as the weather was, it was too much of a temptation to take some photographs indoors too, Oakwell Hall is just as stunning inside as it is out.

Paul and Megans Manchester wedding, Cloud 23, the Hilton and Didsbury House Hotel reception

Paul and Megan’s wedding was held 23 Floors up behind glass in the fabulous Cloud 23 bar inside the Manchester Hilton. This was one wedding the weather never had a chance of spoiling, in fact the storm clouds have made for some stunning photographs.
Paul and Megan had a relaxed morning geting ready at Didsbury House Hotel before Paul made his way to the Hilton on a fabulous classic red bus leaving Megan to arrive in luxurious style by limousine with her 6 bridesmaids.
The ceremony took place over looking the city which is no place to be if you suffer from vertigo or are scared of heights – personally, I loved it!
We stayed at the Hilton a couple of hours before heading back to the Didsbury House Hotel on that very cool red bus for the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment.
Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

Gold Award

I’m absolutely thrilled at having recently won a prestigious ‘gold’ for this image which was one of my personal works. The image of Fleur on Saddleworth Moor near Manchester won ‘gold’ in the fashion category and will be published in Image Maker magazine.
More raves!

From Ant and Joy about their wedding photos (Knightsbridge and Battersea Barge wedding 20 Dec 08)
Rob they are perfect. Absolutely perfect!!!!
Thank you soooooooo much we are so happy we could explode right now, they are all so perfect… I’m shaking with happiness if that is possible?!
When other couples choose you it will be the best decision they make towards their wedding. If I were to plan our wedding again I would reconsider lots of things but one! The photography is exactly what we dreamt of and there is nothing more important than that after the day is gone. It is because of your images that we can relive the best day of our lives and all brides and grooms should feel that.
Rob you are so amazing. Your work is the best I have ever seen, the amount of compliments I get becauses of your pics is insane!!!
THANK YOUUUU!!!!
Ant and Joys winter wedding at the Barge, Battersea

If anyone ever suited their name, JOY was one of those people. I first talked to Joy about her and Ant’s photography over two years ago and she made it plain no one else would do, I was flattered by her faith in my work and think she has been rewarded by a beautiful set of images.

Chris and Andrea’s wedding the Old Bell, Malmesbury

I really enjoyed shooting this fun filled winter wedding for Chris and Andrea at the Old Bell in the picturesque village of Malmesbury, Wiltshire. It was a late afternoon ceremony in this cozy venue and the partying went into the night. This truly is a stunning venue and a great place to photograph in.

Kevin and Norma’s Tower Bridge wedding, London

South African born, Australian groom marries Mexican bride, in London and chooses this Yorkshire photographer who lives in Liverpool on the recommendation of a photographer in Spain – you can’t make this stuff up! International baby, yeah!
This was one fun couple, I had way too much fun photographing Kevin and Norma’s wedding at Tower Bridge this weekend. There was always a smile or a mad face to be photographed at this intimate and friendly wedding.
And a very bracing November afternoon didn’t sway Norma from walking the entire length of the bridge in her sleeveless dress without a coat to get the photos she wanted.
I love my job and the people I meet doing it.

Paul and Esme’s wedding in Chelsea

Shooting a wedding in any major city is always going to add its character to the photographs and none more so than our capital. This was a glorious day that started down the pub, before hitting the church and moving to Zetter restaurant and dancing into to night.
Nick and Cath’s engagement shoot in Frodsham
Nick and Cath thought I was a bit weird when I took them to some industrial wasteland instead of the local park for their recent e-session, but they now see the reason behind my ‘madness’!
We all had such a fun time of it until we were eventually rained off…
Looking forward to their wedding at the Marble Church, Bodelwyddan, North Wales October 2009!

I believe, everyone's wedding should be an amazing fun filled day remembered by the photography not 'because' of it. With this in mind I have developed a unique approach to weddings that couples and their guests both love.
I have created my own mix of reportage, traditional, contemporary and fashion photography. Reportage photography captures the real emotion of real moments as they happen in a way a traditional photography style can't and has no impact on you or your guests, most of the time people are unaware of being photographed and this is why they have a quality unmatched by any other method of wedding photography. What I bring to the mix and what reportage alone lacks, is the magic and sparkle found in glossy fashion magazines.
My unique mix of styles creates stunning photographs for you to treasure forever, with little impact on the enjoyment of your wedding day.
