Jess and Jay’s striking winter wedding in Halifax…
Last weekend saw me returning to my home county of Yorkshire to photograph Jess and Jay’s wedding in Halifax. I’ve known Jess’s father for several years through my commercial photography work and it was a real honor that he recommended me to shoot something as important as his daughters wedding.
I took in instant like to Jess and Jay they are such a friendly, couple and I share many interests with them so knew Saturday was going to be a blast – I wasn’t wrong! I was made so welcome, I felt like a guest with a camera than a hired professional.
Jess is my first bride with red hair, I do hope she’s not the last, she looked amazing!

Danny and Laura’s wedding at Sandburn Hall, York
This wedding saw me back in Yorkshire for a couple of days which according to Lou has recharged my accent. Sandburn Hall is a great location with friendy and helpful staff, its made a great backdrop for their wedding photography.
The ceremony was in front of the huge widows seen in the shot above which overlooked the golf course. The weather was perfect most of the day only turning stormy towards the end of the day when we had finished outside.
Danny and Laura are currently in Bali on their honeymoon, have a great time guys, see you soon.

Michael and Kimberley’s Burley in Wharfedale wedding and Oakwood Hall reception, Bingley
With Michael being a professional ballet dancer and Kimberley being a ballet teacher, good posture and graceful movement were always going to be the order of the day at their wedding in Burley in Wharfedale.
Kimberley spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in Headingley before making the trip to church.
It was a glorious sunny day for them allowing their guests to enjoy Oakwell Hall’s beautiful gardens and the scenic surrounding area.

As good as the weather was, it was too much of a temptation to take some photographs indoors too, Oakwell Hall is just as stunning inside as it is out.
David and Lindsay’s wedding in Clifton, Yorkshire
August was such a mad month I’m really behind with my blogging!
I’ve been really looking forward to shooting David and Lindsay’s wedding they were such good company on my earlier visits I knew rain or shine we would have a great day.
Most bizzare thing of all… the bride was actually born in my house!
Tom and Sarah’s wedding at Woodlands Hotel, Leeds
Spending more time in my adoptive home town Liverpool it was great to come ‘home’ for Tom and Sarah’s wedding at Woodlands in Leeds, Yorkshire.
Tom and Sarah were such a fun, friendly and easy going couple which made it a fantastic day for everyone there. It was a joy to capture the spirit of their day.

Back Down the Aisle…
After a moving ceremony Mr and Mrs M walked back down the aisle arm in arm with huge grins on their faces. The venue was beautifully set up in creams and gold and looked really classy and looks sensational on their photographs.
The stunning Temple Newsam a Tudor–Jacobean mansion had been pre-booked for us to shoot there and was an awesome backdrop for the ‘limited time’ we were given there.

Then to Ness’s room to capture her pre wedding moments. This is the on-the-hanger moment, I think after this point ie when its on, that it really all sinks in that all that planning and preperation is happening NOW!!

We had such fun taking Phil’s preparation photos and were made so welcome by all at the Chair in Rothwell near Leeds. Don’t worry! No blood was spilled, Phil made it to the venue on time. This treatment looked the biz I will be booking myself in soon to experience this five star shave service.
