I had great fun last week shooting fashion images for Louise’s model portfolio.

Also on board we had the very talented make-up artist Corrine Young making sure Louise looked her best for the entire shoot. We started out at my studio before heading out into Liverpool centre for the location portion of Louise’s portfolio shoot.

Its an exciting time as a wedding photographer who specialises in a photojournaism or reportage coverage because with this new technology I’m able to take shots that just were not possible before.

Anybody want to buy a well used pro level camera?

After a week of snow and rain Stephen and Sarah were blessed with the most perfect weather for their Valentines day wedding at the stunning St. Barnabus church on Penny Lane.

Although no one should have to work on their wedding day, on this occasion the grooms profession as a dentist was needed for some emergency crown repair for his mum otherwise there would have been no big smiles from her on the day.

On to the Radisson SAS in the centre, yet another stunning Liverpool venue for the reception. I left them to party after capturing their first dance.

Just thought it was time I posted an update on Lou and I’s wedding plans, as quite a few of you have asked.

I don’t know if we are doing well, average or badly? We have booked the venue, Thornton Manor, Wirral and are excited about that. We have visited our respective registrars and registered our intent to marry etc. Lou has ordered her dress, unsurprisingly I can’t tell you much about that? We, have agreed a menu with our caterer but I still need a new suit – I know what I’m eating but not what I’m wearing!!

Planning our wedding has given me a massive insight into just what couples go through, the happy moments and the tough decisions. I also know the great feeling of ticking ‘something else’ off the list my couples clearly have when they book me to photograph their wedding.
